For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed - Romans 15:18
Good day and week ahead folks! Hope your work week has begun well and you are looking forward to what God will accomplish in and through you this week.
The verse above is a principle that Paul the apostle held dear in his heart all his life. Someone else's knowledge, understanding and experience of the Gospel of Christ was not enough for Paul. He personally desired and experienced the mighty presence of God and His miraculous works not just when he ministered but more so when he worked in the secular world as a tent maker.
That's why, besides sharing Gospel, he stood as a witness to the transformation power of Gospel in his own life. He realized that God did not send him as a 'salesman' of Gospel but as a servant witness to the truth of Gospel. His 'faith' in the truth of Gospel reflected as 'confidence' in daily life in the secular world.
That's why, it was not his Bible or prayer mat or prayer shawl that worked miracles but it was Paul's sweat soaked handkerchief and dirty apron from hard work as a tent maker, that God used to work miracles (Acts 19:12).
We are mindful of the Church we attend but be even more mindful of where God has planted you in the secular world, outside the Church. Be mindful of your words and deeds when you are not in the fellowship of believers. Be mindful of God's presence with you always and be a witness to it. If all your 'spiritual' experiences are limited to the perimeter of the Church or Bible study or Prayer group, you may still be a believer but living in the truth of the Gospel that someone else preached and not what you've experienced.
If you've tasted and seen the goodness of Christ, if you've experienced His peace (John 14:27) then the world around you will see you calm in the storm, confident in chaos and serving without expectations. That my dearly beloved is the life changing truth and testimony of Gospel that the world needs to see. Paul Gospel was not just in words but in deeds as well showing how Gospel transformed his life from being an angry, enraged, avenging murderer to an apostle.
Do you have such an experience to share in your circle of influence God has given? While the Truth of Gospel, Christ crucified, died and resurrected holds the power, our life in the secular world ought to stand as a witness/testimony to that power, until the day of Christ's coming.
Go, be a Witness/Testimony wherever God takes you this week! Blessings!
