Be Strong and Courageous

Strength is not absence of fear but overwhelming presence or confidence in something greater! For example, you feel safe at home not because you are stronger inside your home but because you know your home including the walls, dead bolts, sensors, flood lights, security systems and what not! But, in spite of all that, once a break-in happens, your whole sense of 'feeling secure' is rattled. Though you have all your gadgets still active and working and maybe you added more, still, even a small noise concerns/bothers you at least for while. While fear is an emotion stoked under threat, 'being afraid' is sustained feeling of fear.

God tells Israel neither to be afraid momentarily nor dwell in it. Why? Not because of their armies or weapons, allies or skills but because they trust in someone greater, their LORD GOD! Basically, Moses erases the 'superman' imagery Israel has about him and tells them, it was all the work of the LORD GOD and HIM alone!

What are your battles you are afraid in your life? Battles are inevitable especially in Christian life/walk. Quit thinking you are all alone in it or you are the only one struggling. We serve an unfailing, unchanging God who fights our battles even today, every day. But, do you know HIM, call HIM and allow HIM? Quit trusting in your own strategies, walls, bank accounts, investments, education, position or anything else but GOD. Allow Jesus to arm you, strengthen you, prepare you for the battle and even fight your battles.

Anything above your head is still under HIS feet! Go in HIS might to honor HIM and glorify HIM in and through all that you do including the battles! Blessings for the week and walk ahead! He is walking alongside and would you pause to experience HIS overwhelming presence? Always and always, 'Fear of God' overcomes all 'fears of the world'!
