A hope that never disappoints!

Writer's picture: Austin Tamil ChurchAustin Tamil Church

The full verse says, Tribulations that produces endurance, that produces character, that produces Hope. A hope that does not disappoint.

In the long road of life, there is distance we cover calm and straight in cruise mode and then there are curves, bends, mountains and valleys. But life is shaped to its finest form not in mountaintops but in the valleys, in the twists and turns especially when it is unexpected. Those are the moments to focus on the character of God and ours with the hope that never disappoints.

Tribulations are only for a time while character and Hope are for a lifetime.

How is our character shaping up? Not just when we are in church or in prayer or among like minded believers but otherwise! Not just in the straight roads but in the twists and turns that job/family/friends and anyone/anything might bring? Typical worldly mindset/advice is to take life off of the 'cruise' and assume full control - Isn't it?

But as a believer, would we turn over the wheel to the Lord and say, 'take control Jesus'? Would we be able to tell Jesus that, we were preparing for the storm in our calm days knowing that our hope in HIM will never disappoint? What a smile would that bring on His face? Its worth every ounce of our life.

Have a blessed day and week!

Blessings!
